Engineer - OT Cybersecurity

Overview

Engineer - OT Cybersecurity responsible for day-to-day OT cybersecurity execution across GE Vernova Power Conversion and Storage (PCS) business lines. You will design secure-by-design control systems and help ensure compliance and vulnerability lifecycle management.

What you'll do

• Define top-level control system and software requirements with system/subsystem leads.
• Ensure adherence to IEC 62443 and other global standards.
• Create and own technical architecture, design, and verification documentation.
• Implement and audit OT security controls including Active Directory, certificate management, and hardening using CIS Benchmarks and STIG.
• Configure and deploy firewall, SIEM, NIDS, and HIDS solutions in OT environments.
• Integrate security into SDLC, manage OSS/SAST/DAST scans, and streamline SBOM generation.
• Own end-to-end vulnerability lifecycle including identification, threat modeling, and attack surface reduction.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity with OT/ICS experience.
• Proficiency with Wireshark, Nessus, and Nmap, plus vulnerability management tools.
• Experience with OT hardening using CIS Benchmarks and STIG, and certificate management and Active Directory.
• Familiarity with ISA/IEC 62443, threat modeling, and risk assessment methodologies.
• DevSecOps experience including SAST/DAST/SBOM in software/firmware development contexts.

Nice to have

• CCNA, ISA/IEC 62443 CFS/RA, or Security+ certifications.
• Hands-on SIEM, NIDS, and HIDS deployment in OT/industrial environments.
• Experience with ICS or OT security in energy or manufacturing environments.
