Engineer, Senior Lead

Overview

Work as a WLAN Host Software developer on next-generation wireless routers, access points and gateways, designing and developing WLAN host drivers for Qualcomm WLAN chipsets. Develop new WLAN features, solve Wi-Fi design and performance challenges, and work with hardware, firmware, ODM and OEM teams on end-to-end wireless LAN solutions.

What you'll do

• Design and develop WLAN host drivers for Qualcomm WLAN chipsets.
• Develop new WLAN features.
• Solve complex Wi-Fi design and performance challenges.
• Work with leading WiFi ODMs and OEMs across the globe.
• Work with hardware and firmware engineers to put the complete wireless LAN end-to-end solution together.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• 6-8 years of experience in WLAN driver, networking driver or networking/WLAN protocol development.
• Hands-on experience working in the Linux kernel and Linux kernel device drivers.
• Strong C programming skills.
• Hands-on experience solving complex system issues with good problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience, or PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java or Python.

Nice to have

• Master's in Computer Science or Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
• Good WLAN 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be knowledge would be a strong plus.
• Hands-on experience in Wireless LAN driver development is preferred.
• Knowledge of common interfaces, such as USB, MII or PCI/e, would be a plus.
• Good knowledge of basic network protocols such as TCP/UDP/IPv4/IPv6/ARP/DHCP will be plus.
