Engineer, Senior Staff - Software PE IOT Projects

Overview

Lead and drive software programs on Qualcomm chips for Linux-based IoT projects, from requirements and development through commercialization and end-to-end product delivery.

What you'll do

• Lead and drive software programs on Qualcomm chips for Linux-based IoT projects.
• Develop and debug software through the end-to-end software life cycle.
• Build Linux software stacks, drivers, and frameworks across different technology areas into end-to-end software products.
• Work with large cross-functional and distributed teams to drive engineering features and deliverables leading to an end-to-end software product.
• Interface with customers and business teams from requirements through commercialization support.
• Provide front-ending support for the program and teams.
• Design, implement, deploy, and support software across the full software development life cycle.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 15+ Years of experience.
• Strong development experience with C/C++ and good programming skills.
• Strong engineering experience, hands-on development and debugging, and end-to-end software life cycle experience.
• Strong embedded systems background.
• Hardware chipset and hardware platform experience from software.
• Experience with the Linux software stack, drivers, and frameworks across different technology areas.
• Strong communication skills and analytics skills.
• Strong understanding of the Linux kernel and internals.
• Strong understanding of SoC systems and related concepts, including bring-up.
• Strong hands-on experience with the full software development life cycle, including design, implementation, deployment, and support.
• Strong aptitude, quick learning ability, self-motivation, and willingness to explore and work across the breadth of various technology areas.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, or PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 3+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
