Overview
The Engineering Applications Administrator supports operational administration, support, and lifecycle management of enterprise engineering software applications used across the company.
What you'll do
- Administer and support enterprise engineering software applications across onboarding, access management, licensing, renewals, and user support coordination.
- Maintain accurate records for applications, software assets, vendors, support contacts, ownership information, and lifecycle status.
- Coordinate software licensing, subscription management, renewal tracking, maintenance agreements, and procurement-related activities.
- Act as a primary operational point of contact for engineering application vendors and coordinate communications and support/renewal inquiries.
- Support application onboarding/offboarding activities including access provisioning coordination, user administration, and documentation updates.
- Maintain application documentation, knowledge articles, inventory records, and software catalogs.
- Collect and maintain software usage, licensing, inventories, renewals, vendor relationships, and portfolio information for reporting.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience supporting software applications, business systems, engineering tools, software licensing, software asset administration, or related operational functions.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and operational activities simultaneously.
- Experience coordinating with software vendors, service providers, or external business partners.
- Experience maintaining records, inventories, asset repositories, software catalogs, or operational documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience using Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting engineering software tools or technical business applications.
- Experience working with software inventories, CMDBs, LeanIX, ServiceNow, or similar enterprise platforms.
- Experience supporting globally distributed user communities.
- Exposure to engineering, manufacturing, R&D, or product development environments.
