Engineering Executive

Overview

The Engineering Executive will operate and maintain electrical equipment and systems, support facility operations, manage incidents and breakdowns, and deliver reliable service to clients. The role includes independently handling shifts, working with multiple teams in rotational shifts, and maintaining electrical operations, readings, records, and preventive maintenance activities.

What you'll do

• Ensure operation and maintenance of transformers, UPS, DG, electrical panels, and lifts.
• Read and decipher electrical and control drawings and prepare SLDs.
• Operate equipment in line with SOP without deviations.
• Follow EHS and safety rules, including electrical safety, PPE use, and LOTO.
• Implement improvements in electrical systems, facilities, equipment, and processes.
• Prepare electrical systems specifications to ensure operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
• Manage incidents, perform RCA of equipment failures, and support restoration of faults.
• Maintain data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and dashboards.
• Implement energy-saving plans according to targets shared by clients.
• Support preparation of specifications for purchasing electrical equipment and materials.
• Participate in and conduct in-house training.
• Maintain related equipment, logbooks, checklists, and PPM schedules for all installations.
• Manage downtime and breakdowns and work toward zero-downtime practices.
• Understand BMS systems, monitor and respond to BMS information, and apply insights from BMS data to equipment operations and repairs.
• Follow escalation procedures for incidents or abnormalities.
• Handle shifts independently in the responsible area.
• Work with multiple teams in rotational shifts.
• Maintain high ethical standards and discipline, work without supervision, achieve goals set by self and manager, and take up additional work as required.
• Perform daily operational checks and readings for indoor HT panels, DGs, the main LT panel, 110V battery charger, RTCC 1, transformers, UPS, HSD systems, lifts, kitchen equipment, LSS systems, and gas leak detection systems.
• Record Enercon Energy Meter, oil temperature, winding temperature, load, and UPS readings as applicable.
• Handle lighting and power complaint calls.
• Take all lab loads according to the list.
• Check cleanliness and OLTC operation in transformer areas.
• Switch street lights, terrace lights, canopy lights, and tuck shop lights on or off.
• Monitor all water tank levels.

What you'll need

• At least 3 years of experience in facility management with an ITI qualification of 6–7 years.
• Or a Diploma with 5 years of experience.
• At least 2 years of industrial experience preferred for candidates.
• Sound technical knowledge of electrical technology and circuits.
• Knowledge of electrical and control drawings and SLD preparation.
• Standard knowledge of EHS and safety rules.
• Knowledge of electrical safety, PPE, and LOTO.
• Knowledge of incident management, RCA of equipment failure, and restoration faults.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance for related equipment, logbooks, checklists, and PPM schedules.
• Understanding of BMS systems and the ability to understand insights from BMS data.
• Good English communication and interpersonal skills, along with local language preferred.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and email communication.
• Team player and quick learner attitude.
