Engineering Manager

Overview

Engineering Manager leading a 15-person backend and frontend team building integration systems for financial institutions. The role combines hands-on coding, architecture, engineering leadership, and team development in a remote environment.

What you'll do

• Lead coding, architecture design, and code reviews.
• Architect and scale integrations across modern APIs and legacy protocols.
• Partner with product, implementation, and customer teams on integration outcomes.
• Build observable, reliable, and performant systems.
• Use AI tools to augment software development and improve efficiency.
• Modernize brittle code and improve maintainability.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineers while raising engineering standards.

What you'll need

• At least 10 years of software development experience.
• At least 2 years in a hands-on leadership role.
• Expertise in scalable architectures, microservices, asynchronous systems, observability, and CI/CD.
• Strong proficiency in Golang.
• Experience with React and JavaScript.
• Experience delivering solutions in complex technical environments.
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.

Nice to have

• Fintech or enterprise SaaS experience.
