Engineering Manager (m/f/d)

Overview

Engineering Manager for the Affinidi Elements team, leading development of a multi-component product platform.

What you'll do

• Lead engineering to develop features and improvements for the Affinidi Elements product in a secure, well-tested, performant way.
• Analyze complex problems and convert them into actionable tasks for the team.
• Collaborate with Product Management and stakeholders to maintain quality in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
• Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance.
• Guide the team on technical problems across large scope and complexity.
• Coach and mentor engineers and lead by example.

What you'll need

• Experience leading engineering teams delivering production-quality products in fast-paced, global environments.
• Strong leadership skills for vision-setting, autonomy, mentoring, and collaboration.
• Experience delivering production-quality products aligned to industry standards with strong technical writing.
• Hands-on coding skills and ability to balance direct contribution with delegation.
• Deep experience diagnosing and preventing performance and optimization issues.
• Experience with CI/CD, testing best practices, and coding standards.
• Background in cloud-native environments (AWS serverless preferred), microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
• Hands-on with REST APIs and Test-Driven Development, with commitment to security and privacy by design.
