Software Engineer, Platform - Berlin, Germany

Overview

Join Speechify’s Platform team to design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that support text-to-speech features and related functions.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including a public TTS API.
• Oversee internal APIs such as Payment, Subscription, Auth, and Consumption Tracking.
• Improve backend API performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions for customization and enterprise integrations.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.

What you'll need

• Proven backend development experience using TS/Node (required).
• Direct experience with GCP (required).
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers.
• Ability to ideate and implement efficiently while prioritizing by urgency and impact.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Proficiency deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes.
