Overview

Staff Backend Engineer for Grafana Alerting, working on backend systems that power alert ingestion, evaluation, and delivery.

What you'll do

• Influence the alerting squad roadmap and your career objectives.
• Deliver new features with your team and iterate based on results.
• Drive projects from ideation through operations after customer release.
• Design, build, operate, and maintain critical backend systems.
• Participate in on-call rotations and own the services you run.
• Mentor teammates and collaborate in design discussions.
• Contribute to open-source projects beyond your direct scope.

What you'll need

• Solid experience with at least one programming language (Go mentioned).
• Some cloud software development or systems engineering experience.
• Some experience shipping projects end-to-end to customers.
• Experience writing clean, robust, performant software maintainable by others.
• Ability to break down complex problems into modular solutions and iterate.
• Good communication skills in a fully remote setup.
