Engineering Manager - Travel FX App

Overview

Engineering Manager to lead a team and scale engineering for the Travel FX app, driving ideas into production and ensuring high-quality, reliable delivery.

What you'll do

• Lead and manage engineers across frontend, backend, and full stack development.
• Own engineering delivery for major product areas to ship quickly with reliability and technical quality.
• Partner with product, design, mobile, backend, and AI teams to turn ambiguous problems into technical execution.
• Drive technical architecture decisions across APIs, databases, integrations, infrastructure, and customer-facing systems.
• Set standards for code quality, system design, testing, observability, security, and production reliability.
• Own production outcomes by monitoring systems, resolving incidents, identifying root causes, and preventing repeats.
• Improve engineering processes, tooling, and automation to move faster at scale.

What you'll need

• Strong software engineering background with experience building and shipping real production systems.
• Experience leading/managing software engineers and owning engineering delivery.
• Technical depth across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to make sound architecture and technical trade-offs balancing speed, scalability, and maintainability.
• Track record taking products/systems from idea through development, launch, and production.
• Strong people leadership to coach engineers and manage performance.
