Engr II-AI/ML Engineering

Overview

Verizon is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to design, build, enhance, and operate highly scalable and resilient AI systems and platforms in a multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environment.

What you'll do

• Implement and performance-tune AI/ML platforms for training, fine-tuning, and inferencing.
• Plan, configure, deploy, and operate cloud solutions in close collaboration with technical leads.
• Implement large-scale AI platforms and reusable AI/ML products in a hybrid cloud environment.
• Build next-generation AI infrastructure using cloud-native technologies and AI services.
• Build and scale containerized AI services using a modern AI-native stack.
• Work closely with technical leaders to drive best practices across a multi-cloud environment.

What you'll need

• Two or more years of experience leveraging GCP IaaS services and GCP products and services.
• Three years of overall hard-core platform engineering experience.
• One or more years of experience creating and developing automation solutions for cloud environments.
• Experience implementing cloud-native AI solutions on GCP, AWS, or equivalent.
• Experience building and scaling containerized AI services using a modern AI-native stack.
• Ability to work as a good team player with a go-getter attitude and good interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• CNCF CKAD or CKA certification.
• Experience implementing Kubernetes within a large enterprise environment.
