Overview
Own the US go-to-market for Neara's electrical modelling module as its first specialist seller. Lead enterprise sales, market development, and product-market feedback for a new utility-focused offering.
What you'll do
- Drive the US go-to-market, business development, and pipeline for the electrical modelling module.
- Build territory and account strategies and land initial reference accounts.
- Run the full sales cycle from outbound research through evaluation, procurement, and close.
- Navigate stakeholders across utility planning, operations, GIS, asset management, engineering, IT, and enterprise architecture.
- Develop the commercial and integration narrative for a product that complements incumbent tools.
- Partner with product, engineering, enterprise sales, marketing, and customers on market feedback, cross-selling, campaigns, and events.
- Support pricing, packaging, competitive analysis, and industry presentations.
What you'll need
- 5–7+ years in enterprise sales or business development.
- Substantial experience selling software, systems, or services to US electric utilities.
- Experience working with large energy utility organisations and their planning, operations, engineering, GIS, asset management, and IT functions.
- Fluency in utility distribution, electrical network modelling, GIS and ADMS integration, system planning, hosting capacity, or DER interconnection.
- Experience selling emerging or first-of-kind products and creating demand in undefined categories.
- Ability to manage complex enterprise deals with long cycles and multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to translate customer and market feedback into product input for technical teams.
Nice to have
- Direct experience selling distribution planning or network modelling solutions.
- An existing network of relevant US utility relationships.
- Understanding of modern sales methodologies.
