Overview
Enterprise Architect responsible for enterprise-wide AI architecture strategy, governance, standards, and adoption roadmap across Smith+Nephew.
What you'll do
- Define enterprise AI architecture vision, principles, standards, and target-state roadmap.
- Create reference architectures and patterns for Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG, orchestration, and AI operations.
- Serve as AI architecture authority in the Architecture Review Board (ARB) with design assurance and guardrails.
- Define standards for AI agent architecture, Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication, and MCP frameworks.
- Lead AI platform assessments, proofs of concept, and vendor evaluations with objective scoring.
- Define integration standards connecting AI platforms with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, data lake) with secure governance.
- Provide templates, playbooks, reference architectures, scorecards, and roadmap artifacts for AI delivery enablement.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, technology strategy, or related leadership roles.
- 5+ years leading large-scale enterprise AI, generative AI, agentic AI, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with cloud AI platforms such as Azure AI / AWS AI / Google AI / OpenAI / Microsoft Copilot ecosystem (or equivalents).
- Proven experience defining AI standards, governance, technology roadmaps, and reference architectures for global enterprises.
- Experience participating in Architecture Review Boards and leading platform evaluation/selection decisions.
- Strong experience with enterprise integration, data platforms, ERP/CRM ecosystems, security architecture, and operational governance.
