Overview
Sr. System Architect, Global Patient Safety (GPS) responsible for technology strategy and architecture direction across the pharmacovigilance portfolio.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end portfolio technical architecture across Safety ecosystem and connected Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, and Data systems.
- Enable AI/agentic architecture by converting use cases into reusable, governed patterns for production-ready scaling.
- Embed governance, risk, and GxP compliance (audit-readiness, change-control, and documentation) into architecture patterns.
- Serve as primary technical authority for architecture judgement, including vendor-independent design/configuration decisions.
- Partner with Patient Safety, Quality, Regulatory, and IT to translate business strategy into technology capabilities and trade-offs.
- Provide global technical leadership through architecture forum representation and mentoring for architecture capability.
- Approve major solution and integration designs and influence technology investment decisions and architectural risk escalations.
What you'll need
- 12+ years in IT/enterprise/portfolio architecture or senior technical leadership.
- 4+ years supporting pharmacovigilance or patient safety technology and processes.
- Deep hands-on experience with Pharmacovigilance (Safety) and integrations with Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, and Data platforms.
- Strong enterprise integration experience (APIs, middleware, ETL, data mapping) and cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, Azure).
- Experience operating in regulated (GxP) environments including computer system validation (CSV) and inspection-readiness practices.
- Demonstrated experience designing, deploying, or governing AI/agentic solutions from POCs to production architecture.
- Experience chairing or presenting to architecture review boards/governance forums.
