Enterprise Sales Engineer - Detroit

Overview

Enterprise Sales Engineer based in the Detroit area, assessing prospects' technical requirements and demonstrating how Chainguard products meet their needs to secure technical wins.

What you'll do

• Partner with the Sales Team to help customers evaluate and prove the value of the solution
• Acquire new customer logos in addition to growing the existing customer base
• Own all technical aspects of sales opportunities and help current customers understand the value of Chainguard
• Listen to customers and understand their challenges
• Conduct product demonstrations and POVs/POCs
• Participate in webinars, meetups, conferences and other marketing initiatives
• Cultivate relationships with decision-makers at all levels of an organization and negotiate the competing needs of multiple stakeholders
• Secure technical wins using methods such as demos, RFP/RFI responses, lead POVs, and partnering with engineering for requested features

What you'll need

• Experience as a Sales Engineer or Pre-Sales Engineer
• Experience with MEDDPICC and/or Command of the Message sales frameworks
• Experience selling into Enterprise (3+ years) and Mid Market prospects
• Experience in container technologies (Kubernetes, Serverless, Docker)
• Experience in cloud technology (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.)
• Experience in cloud security or container security
• Experience in app security
• Startup experience
• Smart and passionate, able to persevere to success
• Able to act as a trusted advisor and build credibility with customers
• Strong team player committed to helping and mentoring peers

• Location: Must be located in the Detroit area
• OTE range (based on experience/location): $200,000 - $235,000
