Overview
EHS Specialist to lead Environment, Health and Safety execution across Anthropic’s EMEA region.
What you'll do
- Own EHS execution across EMEA sites via onsite inspections, hazard/risk assessments, and ergonomic reviews.
- Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, and illnesses and manage occupational health cases end-to-end.
- Stand up and support health and safety committees and emergency response teams per local jurisdiction requirements.
- Co-build and tune EMEA versions of core EHS programs (e.g., emergency action plans, fire safety, ergonomics, contractor/vendor safety, occupational health, training).
- Act as in-region owner for fire safety and coordinate Fire Risk Assessments and remediation tracking.
- Manage environmental health work including hazardous materials, indoor air quality, water safety (including Legionella), and lighting standards as tied to ergonomics/design.
- Coordinate EHS training, vendor relationships, and keep EHS documentation and registers accurate for the region.
What you'll need
- 7+ years of experience in a role with similar EHS responsibilities, including owning EHS for a region or leading in a geography.
- Working knowledge of EHS regulatory frameworks across the UK and Ireland (HSE, HSA).
- Working knowledge of fire safety compliance across Europe, including Fire Risk Assessments and duty-holder responsibilities.
- Comfort translating regulatory requirements into clear decisions and pushing back when something isn’t safe.
- Ability to motivate and persuade others to collaborate and engage with EHS programs.
- Ability to write clear SOPs, playbooks, program documents, and training content.
