Overview
Experienced ATE Electrical Design Engineer role with Boeing’s Test & Evaluation team in Bangalore, India.
What you'll do
- Design Special Test Equipment (STE) or Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) solutions for formal testing at circuit card, LRU, or system level.
- Use Zuken and Mentor Graphics tools for rack wiring and harness design, with documentation in tools such as Visio/Mentor Graphics/Zuken/CATIA/UG NX.
- Manage electrical wiring design and the electrical system architecture, harness design, including obsolescence management for existing ATE design.
- Drive test program execution while maintaining baseline scope, cost, and schedule and looking for improvements.
- Conduct test planning and reporting, and perform DVT and formal qualification testing.
- Support end-to-end STE/ATE development including test requirement analysis, instrument characteristics, communication requirements, and hardware-software integration.
What you'll need
- 8 years of related work experience (typical education & experience).
- Bachelor degree in engineering/engineering technology or non-US equivalent directly related to the work statement.
- Experience with electrical wiring design & development lifecycle.
- Experience with schematics capture tools.
- Knowledge of standard laboratory test equipment (e.g., AC/DC power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters).
- Experience with wire harness design using Mentor Graphics and Zuken; 3-D harness design is an added advantage.
- Experience with formal qualification testing (examples include DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461).
