Experienced Mechanical System Design & Analysis Engineer

Overview

Experienced Mechanical System Design & Analysis Engineer responsible for structural design analysis of aircraft components, assemblies, and systems. The role supports certification, qualification, and structural integrity evaluation within Boeing’s Mechanical & Structures Engineering Team.

What you'll do

• Perform structural analysis of aircraft components, assemblies, and systems.
• Calculate loads and conduct static, fatigue, damage-tolerance, and vibration analyses.
• Apply classical hand calculations and finite element methods to evaluate structural integrity.
• Develop analysis approaches to qualify or certify parts with minimal guidance.
• Prepare analysis and test-result documentation for certification and qualification.
• Support gated reviews of work-package quality and completeness.
• Apply FAA and Mil-Spec regulatory frameworks to support safety and compliance.

What you'll need

• 9+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, mechanical, aerospace, aeronautical, or a related field.
• Experience analyzing airframe structures, including metallic and composite structures.
• Experience with static and fatigue analysis.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams across products, locations, and external partners.
• Strong English communication, analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Ability to mentor and teach subordinates and partners.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of airplane operating environments and engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with FEM software such as ABAQUS, PATRAN/NASTRAN, or Hyperworks.
• Experience with Matlab, Python, or Visual Basic.
• Experience with NX/Teamcenter, CATIA, or ENOVIA.

• Relocation within India may be available based on eligibility.
