Field Application Engineer

Overview

The Field Application Engineer will identify projects, understand customer requirements, position Nexperia products against competition, provide technical support, and support sales objectives across customer and distribution channels.

What you'll do

• Identify projects in MM and focus customers.
• Understand complete project requirements block wise and support Nexperia products effectively.
• Position products against the competition by demonstrating product capabilities.
• Deliver pre-sales technical presentations and provide creative, thorough and practical problem resolution specific to customer needs.
• Conduct monthly project reviews with key customers, key projects and distributors.
• Provide updates on high/low lights and required support to the internal team.
• Conduct quarterly trainings and events for customers' engineering teams and distributor FAEs/PMs.
• Build relationships with sales, business groups and customers in support of sales team objectives.
• Conduct quarterly reviews of activities and performance/progress of key activities, including segments and applications.
• Participate in tech days at customers, exhibitions and seminars.
• Interface with business groups on new product development.
• Understand design problems and solve customer technical problems.
• Support knowledge of sales and demand creation through the distribution channel.

What you'll need

• BE/B.Tech in Electronics.
• 5-8 years of experience.
• Knowledge of the semiconductor industry and customers in India.
• Knowledge of power devices, including MOSFET, GaN, SiC and IGBT working principles and important parameters to consider in different applications.
• Hands-on experience with SMPS controllers, LDO, DC-DC converters, load switches, ideal diodes and I2C interface.
• Knowledge of hardware simulation software.
• Knowledge of PCB layout software.
• Knowledge of sales and demand creation through the distribution channel.
• Professional attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interface directly with all levels of customers' engineering teams.
• Knowledge of automotive, industrial and consumer applications.
• Knowledge of block diagrams.
