Field Application Engineer

Overview

Field Application Engineer responsible for driving design wins by supporting product design customers with pre/post-sales technical and engineering functions.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement technical sales account penetration strategy for new products and technologies in assigned markets.
• Support supplier/customer design reviews and participate in design requirement discovery from system to elements.
• Consult with design, production, and/or engineering departments to execute technical strategies for customer design challenges.
• Track design opportunities from concept to production to maximize success potential.
• Create technical presentations and sales tools to support customer and internal value.
• Provide general application and product-level sales training and align with sales to secure business.
• Research industry players and communicate market trends to internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll need

• Minimum required experience is typically 5+ years.
• Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Requires developed sales expertise across a defined portfolio of products/services/accounts.
• Has autonomy to set and negotiate product/service terms and plan territory/account approach.
• Works independently or may lead teams to pursue or manage accounts/opportunities with strategic importance.
• Attends internal and external technical training to complete and maintain certification as necessary.
