Field Application Engineer

Overview

Field Application Engineer role focused on driving design wins for customers engaged in product design, supporting pre/post sales technical activities, and managing product application work from beginning to end.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement a technical sales account penetration strategy in each market.
• Provide pre-component selection support by uncovering and comparing solution approaches.
• Participate in supplier/customer design reviews to support design requirements.
• Identify design requirements from system level down to individual elements with design/production/engineering teams.
• Track design opportunities from concept to production using supplier resources.
• Create presentations and sales tools to support technical value with internal and external customers.
• Provide product-level sales training and align with sales teams to secure business.

What you'll need

• Typically 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of customer needs relative to products/technology/design process and cycle.
• Developed sales expertise across a defined portfolio in a complex sales environment.
• Ability to design a full solution considering product performance, lifecycles, and total costs.
• Attend internal and external technical training to complete and maintain certification as necessary.
