Overview

Field Application Engineer to market complex technical products and deliver technical solutions for building automation in the smart home/building systems space.

What you'll do

• Provide technical sales support and act as the link between ABB product solutions and customers.
• Advise, plan, and support customers using ABB products and systems.
• Help with product planning for Free@Home, Welcome IP/2-wire, and KNX systems.
• Support selection of energy management systems.
• Deliver hands-on customer training via on-site and online sessions.
• Map competitive products to support quotation preparation.
• Monitor the market for domain-specific solutions and support product and segment updates.

What you'll need

• Have an electrical master’s degree, technician diploma, electrical/business engineering degree, or technical training.
• Bring solid experience in technical sales.
• Have knowledge of market structures and products in Smart Home/building systems.
• Have prior knowledge of energy management systems.
• Speak German at a very good level; have basic English knowledge.
• Be willing to travel for business and attend trade fairs (at least 70%).
