Account Manager Automotive Industry / Automotive Technical Sales/Project Manager

Overview

Account Manager focused on the automotive industry, combining technical consultative sales with project and account management.

What you'll do

• Manage automotive manufacturers and suppliers while building long-term customer relationships.
• Identify new business opportunities, win customer projects, and grow existing accounts.
• Provide application-focused technical advice and develop product recommendations.
• Manage revenue, account priorities, and sales forecasts aligned to commercial targets.
• Lead pricing and contract negotiations and communicate technical/commercial value of solutions.
• Contribute to project teams and lead independent projects to streamline sales processes.
• Provide technical support for account managers during project work (up to 40% of working time).

What you'll need

• Technical qualification in engineering or as a certified technician, or equivalent expertise via experience.
• Sound understanding of technical systems, particularly machine elements or industrial applications.
• Several years of experience selling technically complex consultative products or solutions.
• Experience in technical customer consulting, pricing, and contract negotiations.
• Commercial understanding of revenue forecasting, profitable account development, and competitive proposals.
• Good German and English language skills.
• Willingness to travel and a valid driving licence.
