Field Application Specialist – Flow Cytometry

Overview

Provide scientific and application support for flow cytometry and hematology solutions across African markets. Help laboratories and channel partners adopt, optimize and troubleshoot analyzers, reagents and software.

What you'll do

• Advise customers and channel partners on flow cytometry analyzers, reagents and software.
• Deliver instrument and reagent demonstrations and customer training.
• Assess workflows and support sample preparation, instrument operation and data analysis.
• Help implement new applications and troubleshoot application and performance issues.
• Partner with sales teams to understand customer needs and support business growth.
• Train and develop channel partners across African countries.
• Represent the company at exhibitions, scientific meetings and workshops.

What you'll need

• University degree in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent professional training.
• Several years of practical experience in flow cytometry and/or hematology.
• Knowledge of multicolor flow cytometry, sample preparation and data analysis, where applicable.
• Strong laboratory workflow, analyzer operation, troubleshooting and results interpretation knowledge, particularly for hematology backgrounds.
• Strong communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Valid category B driver’s license.

Nice to have

• Experience in immunology, customer training or technical application support.

• Remote work from home in South Africa with customer visits and regional travel.
• Based in Johannesburg or Centurion, South Africa, with access to an international airport.
• Travel of up to 70% nationally and internationally.
