Field Applications Engineer - CT

Overview

Field Applications Engineer (FAE) responsible for supporting and growing customer design opportunities for electronic components, combining technical expertise with business judgment.

What you'll do

• Spend the majority of time in front of customers to influence component selection.
• Use technical leadership to champion return on engineering investment.
• Manage supplier and customer expectations by building relationships and updating stakeholders.
• Identify key decision-maker relationships across suppliers and customers.
• Grow the account base each quarter and drive demand creation using Arrow content.
• Respond to customer technical issues and identify solutions for design needs.
• Monitor quarterly performance metrics and take corrective action as needed.

What you'll need

• Intermediate-to-advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Ability to learn CRM and BI tools including Oracle, Salesforce, and Microsoft Power BI.
• Requires in-depth knowledge/experience with system/board/engineering solutions and electronic components.
• Experience with design engineering and breadth of knowledge of electronic components.
• Independent worker who receives minimal guidance and can support colleagues.
• Typically requires a 4-year degree (electrical engineering strongly preferred) and minimum 5 years related experience (or advanced degree without experience).

Details

• Work arrangement: Hybrid, with 1 day in office/4 days work on the road or from home in the Rochester/Upstate NY market.
• Location: US-CT-Connecticut (Remote Employees).
