Field Service Engineer 2

Overview

Field Service Engineer 2 provides on-site customer support for installation/relocation start-up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex semiconductor equipment.

What you'll do

• Deliver on-site repair and maintenance services at customer sites.
• Perform complete installation and relocation start-up services.
• Troubleshoot and run diagnostics to isolate issues to component level.
• Take corrective actions or request assistance to reduce downtime and malfunctions.
• Maintain records and reports coordinating activities between Lam and the customer.
• Represent Lam as a subject matter expert and update customers on tool status.

What you'll need

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience (or equivalent work experience).
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.
• Ability to work in a clean room environment with required protective safety equipment.
• Ability to travel frequently domestically and internationally.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including overtime and on-call if needed.
