Field Service Engineer

Overview

Field Service Engineer supporting customers with on-site installation, implementation, maintenance and repair of Agilent GC and GC/MS solutions across hardware, software, networking products and operating systems.

What you'll do

• Install and optimize hardware, software and network products and configurations at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve product performance problems.
• Perform maintenance and repairs.
• Advise customers on preventive maintenance and configurations that may impact product performance.
• Proactively respond to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business.
• Deliver fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems and applications software.
• Train other field engineers and customers in the solutions.

What you'll need

• A post-secondary degree within the science or engineering field, e.g. chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology.
• 2+ years of experience in a laboratory environment working with analytical instrumentation.
• Experience with troubleshooting and problem solving is essential.
• Clear, respectful and timely verbal and written communication.
• Must enjoy travel and providing customer service.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Agilent GC or GC/MS.

Details

• Successful candidate must live in Florida.
• Territory covers Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi.
• Travel expectation is 70% (job posting also states 75% of the time).
• Full-time weekly schedule with the option to work remotely.
• Day shift; no end date.
• In the US, eligible for choice of company car or reimbursement for personal vehicle usage.
