Field Service Engineer

Overview

Field Service Engineer covering customers across Belgium and supporting the wider Benelux-Nordics region as needed. Focuses on installation, maintenance, repair, documentation, and onsite user training for Life Science and Diagnostic instruments.

What you'll do

• Perform field service as advised by Customer Care with the Service Leader.
• Install, maintain, and repair Life Science and Diagnostics instruments.
• Provide first-line onsite user training for Life Science and Diagnostics systems.
• Organise monthly routine maintenance.
• Ensure correct-revision documentation is available for servicing specific instrument types.
• Report and resolve anomalies quickly and effectively.
• Complete work orders and related documentation within a day of completion.

What you'll need

• Relevant education or equivalent experience (e.g., Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or Biotechnology).
• Experience in a customer service environment, preferably with Diagnostic and Life Science instrument applications.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong customer service ethic.
• Be prepared to travel, with an occasional night away required.
• Valid full BE/NL driving licence required.
