Field Service Engineer (Field Remote - Worcester, MA)

Overview

Field Service Engineer providing on-site customer support for installation, diagnosis, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex laboratory equipment and systems, with remote coverage in MA.

What you'll do

• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, validations, and repairs while meeting service standards and KPIs.
• Diagnose issues and troubleshoot complex equipment and systems.
• Instruct customers on operation and maintenance of the system.
• Engage with customers to understand analytical workflows and tailor service offerings (training, support, upgrades).
• Optimize service execution and identify revenue opportunities such as billable work and consumables.
• Maintain assigned tools, test equipment, telecommunication equipment, and service parts inventory.
• Complete administrative tasks including time reporting and assigned training.

What you'll need

• BA in Applied Science/related field plus 3 years direct experience repairing laboratory equipment.
• OR Associate Degree in Applied Science/related field plus 5 years direct experience repairing laboratory equipment.
• OR High School Diploma plus 7+ years direct experience repairing laboratory equipment.
• Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Technical critical thinking and attention to detail.
• MS Office skills (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to follow/create written and verbal directions and read technical bulletins and service manuals.

Details

• Location: US Remote - MA; field servicing customers from Worcester, MA to Springfield, MA.
• Travel: up to 50% of the time as business requires.
• Company-provided: car, laptop, and phone.
• Must work in laboratory environments requiring personal protective equipment.
