Overview

The Field Service Engineer works remotely out of the St. Louis area and provides coverage for the surrounding install base.

What you'll do

  • Perform on-site installation and provide installation, repair, upgrade, and maintenance support for TomoTherapy and CyberKnife systems.
  • Oversee diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
  • Check out and approve operational quality of system equipment.
  • Instruct customers on operation and maintenance of the system.
  • Respond to customer issues and maintain timely documentation of work activities.
  • Support customers remotely by phone, internet, and onsite visits as needed.

What you'll need

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in field service, installation, and troubleshooting complex electronic equipment.
  • Or bachelor’s degree with less field experience considered.
  • Ability to self-start and work without close supervision while scheduling and organizing field service activities.
  • Ability to communicate complex information to executive level management.
  • Strong system-level troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong computer skills with understanding of basic networking.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically active environment.

Details

  • Work remotely (remote - US) and cover the St. Louis area install base.
  • Travel up to 25% outside the assigned service area, sometimes with little notice.
