Field Service Engineer (Field Remote - Hicksville, NY)

Overview

Field Service Engineer providing on-site installation, diagnosis, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex analytical equipment and systems, including customer training and technical support.

What you'll do

• Perform on-site installations, maintenance, validations, and repairs for complex equipment and systems.
• Diagnose issues, troubleshoot, and execute service and repairs.
• Instruct customers on operation and maintenance of the system.
• Oversee field support across hardware, software, PCs, and networking/wireless networking.
• Complete administrative tasks such as time reporting and assigned training.
• Maintain assigned assets, tools, test equipment, telecommunication equipment, and service parts inventory.

What you'll need

• BA (Applied Science/Biology/Chemistry/Electronics/Math/Engineering or related) plus 3 years direct experience repairing laboratory equipment.
• OR Associate Degree (Applied Science/Biology/Chemistry/Electronics/Math/Engineering or related) plus 5 years direct experience repairing laboratory equipment.
• OR High School Diploma plus 7+ years direct experience repairing laboratory equipment.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• MS Office skills including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to follow/create written and verbal directions and read technical bulletins and service manuals.

Details

• Work mode: Remote (field role).
• Service territory: customers located from Albany, NY down to Poughkeepsie, NY.
• Travel: typically up to 50% of the time.
• Annual compensation range: $65,000.00 to $85,000.00 for this full-time position.
• Working environment: laboratory and controlled environments requiring personal protective equipment.
