Overview
Field Service Engineer to lead on-site commissioning, diagnostics, maintenance, and lifecycle support for automated cutting systems across the United States.
What you'll do
- Perform electromechanical, electronic, and pneumatic diagnostics on automated CNC cutting machines and plasma units.
- Lead turnkey installation and commissioning, including machine alignment, I/O verification, parameter configuration, and test cutting.
- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance activities to support operational reliability.
- Diagnose and interface with CNC controllers, PLC logic, industrial fieldbuses, and safety interlocks.
- Deliver technical training to customer maintenance technicians, CNC programmers, and operators.
- Write detailed Field Service Reports documenting failures, root causes, and corrective actions.
What you'll need
- Associate Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical training.
- 2–5+ years of hands-on industrial field service or automated manufacturing systems experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, pneumatic/hydraulic schematics, and mechanical blueprints.
- Demonstrated commitment to industrial safety standards including OSHA compliance and Lockout/Tagout.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and work in plant environments.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License with eligibility to obtain a U.S. Passport.

- Work mode: Remote (service work described for customer facilities across the U.S.).
- Travel scope: 100% regional/domestic travel to customer facilities.
