Field Service Engineer Medical Imaging - Wellington

Overview

Customer-facing field service engineer providing maintenance, installation and servicing of Philips medical imaging equipment (software and hardware) across multiple modalities, based in Wellington.

What you'll do

• Provide exceptional service to customers, including corrective and preventative maintenance, commissioning and installation of equipment, and software and hardware upgrades.
• Actively participate in the sales process and provide expert technical support across the customer lifecycle, from pre-sales through implementation and post-sales support.
• Take the lead in managing and supporting technical escalations through to resolution, keeping all stakeholders updated on progress according to company process.
• Provide technical support, maintenance and repairs on equipment, determining the most cost-effective repair or solution to minimise customer downtime.
• Maintain a high level of knowledge through continual training and development, and keep up to date with new technologies relevant to your area of focus.
• Work reasonable additional hours outside business hours as necessary, including on-call support.

What you'll need

• Tertiary qualifications in Electronics, Electrical or Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent experience from engineering or service roles in Communications Electronics, RADAR, Instrumentation or Avionics.
• Previous customer-facing service engineering experience, especially in the medical or biomedical industry.
• Strong IT skills and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Hold a full New Zealand driver's licence.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.
• Police checks will be required during onboarding.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience in one or more of the following modalities: Diagnostic X-ray (DXR), Image Guided Therapy (IGT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT) or Ultrasound.
• Ideally hold a current Restricted Electrical Licence.
