Field Support Engineer - Remote

Overview

Provide field service, maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and technical support for EUROIMMUN diagnostic instrumentation and products. Respond to routine and emergency service requests while supporting customer satisfaction and equipment uptime.

What you'll do

• Respond to service requests and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
• Verify instrument performance before releasing devices to end users.
• Install, relocate, and decommission instrumentation at customer sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance, remedial maintenance, upgrades, and warranty services.
• Document service activities according to company procedures and FDA requirements.
• Train customers on equipment use and maintenance.
• Attend professional trade exhibitions and travel to customer sites as needed.

What you'll need

• Associate or technical degree in applied science, biology, chemistry, electronics, biomedical engineering, or STEM.
• Two or more years of experience as a field service representative or laboratory medical technologist/scientist.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and computers, or four years of military training.
• Strong technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift and move instruments weighing up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience with automated chemiluminescent and enzyme immunoassay systems.
• Experience servicing, repairing, and performing quality control for medical laboratory instrumentation.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations applicable to instrumentation service operations.
• Strong Microsoft Suite and basic networking skills.

Details

• US Remote - CA location.
• Field-based position with frequent overnight and possible weekend travel.
• International travel may be required.
• Annual salary range of USD 75,000 to USD 85,000.
