Finance Collector

Overview

Collections Specialist role managing accounts receivable, resolving customer billing problems, and reconciling unapplied cash items at UPS GBS Pune.

What you'll do

• Identify and resolve basic and routine issues impacting payment.
• Overcome customer objections concerning payments and help them understand their account terms.
• Utilize payment options and negotiate payment arrangements.
• Follow prescribed escalation procedures.
• Provide thorough, efficient, and accurate updates to customer and other stakeholder information using various software programs, including UPS proprietary programs.
• Submit recommendations to write off account balances.
• Monitor and maintain an assigned queue of customer accounts.
• Keep and improve customer relations.
• Prepare and publish reports to senior management as required.
• Carry out exceptional coordination with various departments to ensure a great customer experience.

What you'll need

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information and respond to questions effectively and professionally.
• Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills.
• Desire to work in a position requiring extensive phone and email communication.
• Ability to work in a highly measured, fast-paced, production environment.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and databases.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Accounts Receivable, Collections and Billing knowledge.

Nice to have

• Prior inbound/outbound calling experience.
