Overview
Strategic Finance Lead for compute accelerator investments, partnering with compute teams to guide budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.
What you'll do
- Lead finance for cloud accelerator compute spend, including budgeting, monthly forecasting, variance analysis, and cost plan maintenance.
- Build and maintain bottoms-up financial models for accelerator infrastructure, including long-range forecasts and investment scenario modeling.
- Develop expertise in compute contracts, pricing structures, and cost drivers to surface optimization opportunities.
- Own the compute capacity plan as the source of truth and plan of record.
- Implement and manage financial planning tools (e.g., Pigment) to scale models and processes.
- Analyze AI training and research compute economics, including ROI across multiple dimensions, and translate findings into capacity-planning frameworks.
- Partner with engineering and research teams to translate scaling behavior into financial frameworks.
What you'll need
- 7+ years of experience in strategic finance, infrastructure investment, private equity/growth equity, consulting, or investment banking, preferably in infrastructure/technology infrastructure.
- 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure financial management.
- Experience working directly with major cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Analytical skills to synthesize data into insights and build complex financial operating models.
- Proficiency with financial modeling tools and languages (SQL, Python, Excel).
- Strong ability to communicate complex financial information to non-finance audiences and work cross-functionally.
