Financial Accountant

Overview

Financial Accountant on the Corporate Control team, running accounting and financial activities for Premier Research and supporting several of its legal entities.

What you'll do

• Produce monthly management accounts according to US GAAP.
• Provide transactional detail to in-country accountants to produce their local statutory accounts.
• Take care of the accounting aspects of several legal entities within Premier Research Group.
• Prepare the monthly profit and loss and balance sheet reports.
• Ensure tax compliance.
• Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts.
• Apply accounting knowledge and techniques to all areas of work, including journals, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Perform financial calculations to support transactions relating to cash, pre-payments, accruals, fixed assets, costs and others when needed.
• Respond to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data.
• Examine financial records to check for accuracy.
• Manage and train when necessary.
• Support the Finance Manager with central tasks when applicable.
• Participate in corporate initiatives and actions that ensure the continued success of the company.

What you'll need

• A degree and experience in the financial field.
• 3-5 years of related experience.
• Experience dealing with local tax authorities.
• Works with internal and external customers/vendors to meet project specific goals.

Nice to have

• A recognized professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA).
• Prior experience using computerized information systems.
