Forward Deployed Engineer

Overview

Forward Deployed Engineer who builds solutions on the core platform alongside the customer experience team. You will develop AI agents, integrations, and automations and help shape how AI, analytics, and workflows are used in customer processes.

What you'll do

• Work directly with customers (30% of the role).
• Design, develop, and launch AI agents, integrations, and automations.
• Integrate DevRev with SaaS and non-SaaS systems using APIs and webhooks.
• Apply prompt engineering and generative AI techniques to improve agent accuracy and UX.
• Write SQL queries, perform data analysis, and build dashboards for insights.
• Run proofs-of-concept and technical demos, refining solutions from feedback.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment.

What you'll need

• 5+ years in software development, systems integration, or platform engineering.
• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript and Python proficiency.
• Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Bachelor's or Master's).
• Experience with API integration patterns including REST, GraphQL, and webhooks.
• Hands-on experience deploying on serverless/edge platforms such as AWS Lambda and Google Cloud Functions.
• Knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, and frameworks like RAG and function calling.
• Experience implementing logging, error surfacing, and telemetry for observability.
