Forward Deployed Engineer

Overview

Own solution design and implementation for Hightouch’s Identity Resolution product. Work directly with customer data, marketing, and executive teams in a hands-on role spanning data analytics, data engineering, consulting, and technical debugging.

What you'll do

• Design IDR rules and data models around customer use cases.
• Assess customer data landscapes and implementation feasibility during pre-sales.
• Configure customer deployments and identity spines.
• Debug identity discrepancies using SQL and server logs.
• Explain IDR behavior and warehouse-native processing to customers.
• Identify recurring product gaps and advocate for fixes.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Support Engineering, and Technical Account Management.

What you'll need

• 2–4 years in analytics engineering, solutions engineering, forward-deployed engineering, or implementation.
• Fluency in SQL.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
• Ability to reason about identity graphs and architecture trade-offs at scale.
• Ability to communicate technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A systematic approach to forming hypotheses, testing them, and documenting findings.

Nice to have

• Experience with identity resolution, MDM, or CDP products.
• Familiarity with graph data structures and entity resolution algorithms.
• Experience with probabilistic matching or ML-based identity systems.
• Background in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• Comfort with customer-facing presentations and on-site meetings.

• Remote role for North America.
• Salary: $150,000–$225,000 USD per year.
