Functional Test Pattern Development Engineer

Overview

Functional Test Pattern Development Engineer developing and optimizing functional test patterns for semiconductor/SoC products, including debugging RTL simulation issues and supporting silicon validation and bring-up.

What you'll do

• Develop, debug, and optimize functional test patterns for complex semiconductor and SoC products.
• Develop and maintain functional test patterns based on design specifications and product requirements.
• Debug and analyze RTL simulation failures and drive issue resolution with Design and Verification teams.
• Execute and validate functional patterns in RTL simulation environments.
• Support Test Engineering vector bring-up and debug during silicon validation.
• Work with Bench and Silicon Validation teams to enable successful pattern execution on silicon.
• Analyze pattern mismatches and silicon failures, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop automation utilities and scripts to improve pattern generation, execution, and debug efficiency.

What you'll need

• Experience developing and maintaining functional test patterns based on design specifications and product requirements.
• Ability to debug and analyze RTL simulation failures with Design and Verification teams.
• Ability to execute and validate functional patterns in RTL simulation environments.
• Ability to support Test Engineering teams in vector bring-up and debug during silicon validation.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Validation, Product Engineering, and Test Engineering.
• Ability to develop automation utilities and scripts for pattern generation, execution, and debugging.
