Fund Accounting Analyst2 - C10

Overview

Intermediate-level Fund Accounting Analyst participating in fund valuation activities with the Operations - Transaction Services team, assisting in daily and periodic Net Asset Valuations (NAVs) and the distribution of unit prices.

What you'll do

• Perform and review cash and position reconciliation of funds.
• Process daily income/expense files at fund level.
• Validate exceptions in workflow exception management (WEM), p-Control or EMS.
• Perform trade pushing/accounting based on feeds from the trades team and ensure all trades are pushed and accounted for.
• Process high value transactions in the system, including capital and sweep bookings.
• Coordinate with custodians on pending breaks and participate in custodian calls to discuss aged breaks.
• Work with team leaders to resolve client inquiries.
• Provide process improvement suggestions or contribute to controls to achieve a risk-free process.
• Become a trusted source for FA operations to rely upon.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Business Administration is preferred.
• 7-9 years of fund accounting experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound accounting knowledge and understanding of accounting practices.
• Good knowledge of all security types, trade life cycle, and corporate actions and their impact on portfolios.
• Good understanding of capital markets, derivative instruments, custodians and brokers.
• Good work and time management skills with an eye for detail.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Nice to have

• Exposure to MultiFonds, Invest One Enterprise, EMS, pControl and TLM applications.
