Trade operations - Senior Analyst - Level 3

Overview

Senior Analyst (Level 3) in Trade Operations, handling trade processing, reference data management, security setups, security pricing and corporate action events for a global fund administration business.

What you'll do

• Process and verify daily and monthly trades across multiple asset classes.
• Work hands on with multiple vendors such as Bloomberg, IDC, Refinitiv, Markit and other reference data providers.
• Handle various types of trade exceptions and apply corrective measures in the relevant systems.
• Work closely with vendors to identify issues, track them and drive their resolution.
• Set up listed securities, OTC securities, including unlisted derivatives, bank debt and swaps.
• Take the lead on process improvement and automation.
• Process and verify daily trades received via secured paths and mail, and clear exceptions daily.
• Review corporate actions on portfolio holdings and make necessary corrections and exception postings.
• Document trade file mapping requirements for existing and new clients, working with internal groups (Analytics, Client Services) and external clients as needed to automate reference data and trade workflows.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures.
• Manage assigned tasks independently with little or no supervision, maintaining a control mindset and alertness to process issues and risks.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a financial domain.
• 5 to 9 years of experience in trades processing, corporate actions and security setup.
• Strong knowledge of corporate actions, dividends, splits and spin-offs.
• Strong knowledge of asset types including equity, fixed income securities and derivatives.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and organisation.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility with shift timings.
• Ability to work under time constraints, pressure and changing priorities.
• Strong sense of ownership and responsibility.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of API for Bloomberg and Reuters.
• Bank loans knowledge.
• Operational experience in a financial institution.
• Knowledge of the hedge fund administration business and/or industry.
• Knowledge of Advent Geneva or Paxus applications related to fund administration.
• Understanding of VBA programming.
