Head - Operational Procurement & SCM

Overview

Lead end-to-end procurement operations, order fulfilment, logistics, and import/export activities supporting Aggreko India's manufacturing operations and the Global Supply Hub. Coordinate across Category Management, Suppliers, Operations, Planning, Logistics, EXIM, and Global Business stakeholders to ensure material flow and service performance.

What you'll do

• Lead and manage a team of Operational Buyers to convert demand into purchase orders, monitor supplier commitments, and drive material availability for production schedules.
• Coordinate and proactively manage global orders from India-based suppliers, ensuring accurate tracking and driving On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance.
• Lead domestic and international logistics operations, oversee inbound and outbound transportation, optimize costs, and ensure timely dispatch and delivery of materials and finished goods.
• Manage import and export operations, documentation, and customs compliance, ensuring adherence to international trade regulations and optimizing duties.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and drive corrective actions with Category Management and Supplier Development teams.
• Conduct regular supplier performance reviews.
• Develop and standardize procurement and supply chain processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Leverage ERP systems and digital tools for enhanced visibility and efficiency.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, or a related discipline.
• More than 15 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Materials Management.
• Minimum 5 years leading Operational Procurement or Supply Chain teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience in Import & Export operations, logistics management, and supplier delivery management.
• Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.

Nice to have

• MBA or post-graduate qualification.
• Experience supporting global procurement operations.
