HVDC Proposal Specialist

Overview

Prepare proposals and bids for HVDC projects, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with proposal policy while assessing commercial risk.

What you'll do

• Develop proposals and negotiate with customers where needed.
• Ensure deals deliver shareholder value and drive competitive pricing.
• Compile and submit required tender documentation.
• Lead small bids with low risk and resource requirements.
• Use technical experience and analytical thinking to propose solutions outside set parameters for complex day-to-day problems.
• Prioritize information for decision making and draw on internal and limited external sources to reach decisions.
• Build team consensus around topics within the field by explaining information clearly.

What you'll need

• More than 5 years of experience in proposal management.
• Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent) from a reputed college.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of best practices and of how own area integrates with others.
• Awareness of competition and the factors that differentiate competitors in the market.

Nice to have

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
• Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
