Job description

Overview

Provide technical support for industrial electrical and automation systems through maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs, and commissioning. The role combines home-based work with extensive customer-site travel and field assignments.

What you'll do

  • Install, commission, and maintain HV and LV drives and PLC-based automation systems.
  • Diagnose and repair faults through remote and on-site support.
  • Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and site reports.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams on technical improvements and service opportunities.
  • Support 24/7 service requirements, including field assignments.
  • Update technical documentation and equipment drawings.

What you'll need

  • Ability to interpret electrical engineering drawings and circuit diagrams.
  • Ability to diagnose variable speed drive and PC/PLC equipment issues.
  • Understanding of EHS legislation and on-site safety standards.
  • Expertise in electrical or power electronics engineering through practical experience or formal training.
  • Formal education or a recognized electrical or power electronics engineering apprenticeship.
  • Interest in delivering high-quality customer service.

  • Home-based working arrangement.
  • Extensive travel to projects and field assignments is required.
  • Weekend, holiday, overtime, and considerable time away from home may be required.
