IND Staff Data Engineer

Overview

Staff Data Engineer role within an India GCC, leading offshore data engineering delivery and teams while providing technical governance across enterprise data and AI initiatives.

What you'll do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of offshore Data Engineers, including performance management and career development.
• Oversee delivery execution across a portfolio of data engineering, analytics, data products, and AI initiatives.
• Manage resource allocation, capacity planning, utilization, delivery commitments, and project risks.
• Act as the primary liaison between offshore teams and Data/Analytics/AI/Technology leadership.
• Provide technical oversight for data engineering initiatives using Snowflake, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Support AI and data modernization enablement, including generative AI and AI-enabled automation workflows.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud engineering, analytics engineering, or related technology disciplines.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams, preferably in a global delivery model.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience leading offshore, distributed, or matrixed teams across multiple business and technology stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Snowflake, SQL, ETL/ELT processes, and modern cloud-based data architectures.
• AWS experience including S3, Lambda, Fargate, and EC2 (and related services).
• Google Cloud data technologies experience including BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Vertex AI.
• Experience managing Agile delivery processes, resource planning, and project execution.
