Internship Medical Engineering & Computer-Assisted Surgery – 6 Months | Start Spring 2027

Overview

6-month internship in Medical Engineering & Computer-Assisted Surgery focused on interactive guidance concepts for navigated ENT surgery.

What you'll do

• Develop and evaluate concepts for interactive guidance in navigated ENT surgery.
• Design and implement proof-of-concept applications for surgical navigation systems.
• Apply computer vision, augmented reality, machine learning, and human-computer interaction technologies.
• Build software solutions using C++, Python, and/or MATLAB.
• Evaluate prototypes within a navigation and imaging ecosystem.

What you'll need

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree in a related field.
• Experience with C/C++ programming.
• Basic knowledge of Python and/or MATLAB.
• Basic knowledge of image processing, computer vision, or machine learning.
• English confidence with at least B2 level.
• German language skills with at least B2 level (plus).
