IT Operations Engineer, Application Support

Overview

IT Operations Engineer for Application Support, providing technical support, troubleshooting, and production incident management for software applications.

What you'll do

• Provide technical support for application issues and investigate, diagnose, and resolve incidents.
• Automate start-of-day and end-of-day checks for key applications.
• Log and track application incidents in the production environment.
• Implement monitoring/automation initiatives and build custom solutions using Python, Shell, and/or PowerShell.
• Create support tools/scripts to improve incident investigation and enable transparency into business impacts.
• Prioritize and categorize incidents based on severity and impact.
• Collaborate with developers and update documentation for common errors and incidents.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Experience supporting middle- and back-office applications built in .NET, Java, C#, etc.
• Ability to debug applications using code, logs, and alerts.
• Literacy in complex SQL procedures/queries.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members and internal clients.
