Java Developer

Overview

Intermediate-level Applications Development Programmer Analyst role, responsible for creating and updating application systems and programs with the Technology team.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, code, and debug complex application systems.
• Triage and resolve technical issues.
• Run peer code reviews to align development with quality and security standards.
• Analyze applications to identify and remediate vulnerabilities and security issues, and lead testing/debugging.
• Define system enhancements using knowledge of modern development procedures.
• Consult with users, clients, and technology groups and recommend programming solutions.

What you'll need

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in the Financial Services industry in an Applications Development role.
• Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture and development.
• Expertise in MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Ability to leverage AI tools for code generation and development.
• Experience or familiarity with prompt engineering for AI development assistants.
• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
