Senior Java Developer - Emerging Lead

Overview

Senior Java Developer (Emerging Lead) for the GTS Integration Services team, responsible for analysis, design, and development of integration solutions.

What you'll do

• Analyze, design, and develop solutions for integration services.
• Deliver development tasks following coding best practices and non-functional considerations.
• Participate in major technical upgrades and large technical efforts.
• Manage efforts within and outside the agile team to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Propose optimized solution options based on user needs.
• Anticipate critical issues and risks and take responsibility for resolution.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of experience developing web applications in Java.
• Experience with Spring MVC and Microservices on native and open cloud platforms using CI/CD.
• Minimum bachelor’s degree.
• Experience developing Enterprise Web applications in Java with Spring Boot or Python (3+ years).
• Experience with Angular and/or React.JS and Node.js.
• Experience with one or more protocols: REST, SOAP, GraphQL, GRPC, Avro, or WebSocket.
• Hands-on experience with relational (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.) and/or NoSQL databases.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience in Azure, AWS, GCP, or OpenShift.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps/CI/CD.
• Experience with messaging platforms such as IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, Rabbit MQ, or Kafka.
• Experience with file transfer protocols like SFTP, FTP, Samba, or MFT.
• Working knowledge of AI code-assistant tools like Co-pilot or Devin.
